Only yesterday it seems,
That we all were together,
Under our happy tree.
But time has gone
And the year melded on.
Our lives went
Their only little ways.
Different paths had open up.
Our eyes begain to focus.
Our lives were finding their footing.
Our dreams slowly coming true.
Nothing seem to stand in our way.
But as time gone on
And we started to remember
The little tree we all knew.
Tears started to fall.
Sobs begain to be heard.
Little whispers
Of time left behind
Reached the aching hearts.
But wistful smiles always returned
At that point of time,
When memories of silly fights
And laughter of old jokes,
Came back to mind.
So far away it seems
Are those days of dreams,
But friends that parted
Always find away
To come back to each other.
In letters or in thoughts,
There always is a chance
That they will cross paths.
All they got to do
Is forget about the miles
And just return with a smile.
