Our Electric Love

by Bella   Dec 9, 2005

I know this much about the future;
It is all that lies ahead.
Whether advancements are made
Or resources depleted,
Only time will tell.

Someday we will leave these bodies,
And there will be nowhere left to run.
We will no longer roam the metropolis,
Nor feel the warmth of sun.

But suppose our children become refugees,
And the sunshine turns to snow?

I have a proposal, my dear;
It is not simple, though:

This everlasting bond we have
Will rip across the night.
It will illuminate the city;
Such a gorgeous sight.

Our last wish will be sanctioned,
And everyone will applaud
Recognizing the lasting glow
As our electric love.
