Child of Youth

Child Of Youth

As the sun rises and the clouds part willingly
The child of youth basks in life's splendor
Never knowing what will be, never looking back
Spinning in a circle, twirling lightly, she twists and turns

The sweet shade of the brown and green tree
Is brilliant for sitting under to relax
As that little girl, for that's what she is
Simply starts to laugh

She has a few friends, not too many
She doesn't know what bad things could possibly be
She has not heard in her entire life
Of older people's tragedies

Instead she bends down, picks so many little flowers
Hands them to mere strangers who've been crying for hours
Runs back to the sunlight till the sky turns gray
For each minute brightens every single day

This little girl never knows the woman she'll become
She never might know how many hearts she will touch
She is a key to some's sole inspiration
An untouched character, a pure reputation

Maybe one day she'll be affected, though now she won't worry
She will just dance, smile, laugh, and play
This child of youth doesn't have to grow up
For what at all is the hurry?

I liked this poem. It's very true. Children don't have to worry about anything. They're care free and the can brighten others days in the simplest of ways, never even knowing it.
