Time Goes On, Ready Or Not

These days just continue to go by

Time doesnt stop,
Time doesnt wait
It doesnt wait for me
To make up my mind
It doesnt wait for me
To finish crying.
It just goes on
It doesnt rely on me
Or wait for me
To regain my composure,
It just goes on
Whether Im ready or not.

We do pointless things
Like sit in the shower
And cry...
Cry over someone
Who was just another
Waste of our time
Yet in doing so,
We just waste more time
Because time doesnt wait for us
To regain our composure,
It just goes on
Whether we're ready or not.

People do stupid things
Like drugs and drinking
To escape their problems.
They use it as an excuse
To make themselves
Feel comforted
Yet later theyll realize
It was just another waste of time
Because time doesnt wait for them
To become sober,
It just goes on
Whether they're ready or not.

We all say things
Like,
"I don't have time to tell others about God,"
Or,
"Right now I'm busy, I'll do it later,"
Maybe even,
"God is just a waste of my time."

Well, I have some news for you

When you stand in front of Him
On judgment day,
Don't be surprised when He will say,
"I don't see your name
In the book of life.
I thought about writing it down once,
But I just didn't find the time."

So don"t wait till next week,
Or even tomorrow
Because time doesn"t wait on us
To be ready for the end,
It just goes on
Whether we"re ready or not.
