Queen Of The Dead And Dying (Winter)

by PassingAngel   Dec 10, 2005

And she cries silver tears
They tinkle down her cheek
Freezing slowly in the winter air
Frozen morsels of all her fears

Her voice croaks as she tries to speak
But ice cold wind blows down her throat
Muted by the very thing she finds beautiful
Queen of the dead and dying leaves

Her kingdom is the frozen ice land around you
The snowflakes build her palace
Frozen crystals of a wondrous place
They are the snowflakes that surround you

Her majesty has put a spell on the sky
'Tis the season where all things die
A chilling gray of colour
And even her most royal subjects shudder

The invisible fairies of ice are dancing
On the frozen lake of blue
Leaving us with a soft mist
Of the parting of winter and the beginning of spring
