Controversial sadness

by dwight   Dec 10, 2005

Trapped
in my soul I dwell
in fact
I feel quite well

showing
you will never forget
knowing
pain is just an empty threat

hoping
you will not die
coping
if all is just a lie

crying
I hate it all
denying
I will have to fall

conveying you
the thought
praying fool
as though your god

Its all weird. my dad has cancer and he might die. he lives so far away, I may never see him again, but somehow I can't really cry. Of course I'm sad, but I feel so guilty because I can't cry. Maybe I am belong tears, but I wrote this poem to tell you this.

I can understand not being able to cry when you feel you have to. It is a paradox, however this inability to physically express emotion has inspired a wonderful poem. 5/5.
Thank you for your comment by the way, it means a lot.
