Daddy No More

I am going to try to shut you out
Won't even mention your name
Isn't that fair?
You treat me the same

No longer will I cry
I deserve much better
Maybe that could change
If you could get yourself together

You won't even call
Or even write a letter
I have gave a little bit of effort
You could try a little bit better

Why can't you see
That deep inside I cry
I need you here with me Daddy
You don't even know why

That is because
You can't even look and see
The hurt in your little girl's eyes
That little girl is me

    I didnt meet my father until I was 14.... and though I have only known him a few years. He has changed my life so much. I felt he hated me. I felt I was broken. But now I feel better, that my life isnt so horrible. You need a hug hun

    I love this poem, this one, i found nothing wrong with, i too dont have a "daddy" and i write about him alot, two of my poems about him are "Hes still half of me" and "daddys little girl" I know how you feel and its also great that you can express how you feel. hopefully one day, he'll see that hes made a mistake...but the thing is...will you let him back in?
