The Day

by Jeremy Edmondson   Dec 10, 2005

The Day
The day will come when all things must end
When languages will cease
When the oceans become arid
When lands will be inflamed
The day will come when you and I will love no more
When hearts are brought to a standstill
When the memories expire
When the pain will give up the ghost
The day will come when all will see him
When the judge will judge
When souls are condemned
When angels can be observed
The day will come to see those that came before us
When that celebration in the sky begins
When all the non-believers will say his name
When all words will be spoken for him
The day will come when the sick will laugh
When the breathless will breath
When the blind will see
When the crippled will walk
The day will come when his people will celebrate
When pain ends over come by death
When bodies are no longer needed
When sprits will be set free
The day will come when the people will look in his eyes and know
The day will come
The day is coming
Will you be ready for what you see?
Will you be ready for the things you will be?
Will you be ready to hear what kind of life you lived?
Will someone open your book and read of a man or of a mouse?
The day will come
The day is here
The day is now
