Letting Go

I want to let go and forget about you
I want stop loving you and be free
But my heart still holds on
To the memory of what we used to be

I know that what I am doing is right
That soon my heart will understand
That it can no longer crave you
That you cant be my man

I have someone that cares
And someone that will always be there
But I can still feel your touch
And I can still smell the scent of your hair

When you call my heart breaks inside
Trying to convince me to answer the phone
But I know that if I answer it
Will be me and not you who will be left alone

I wish I can run outside
Whenever I see you parked up front
Run into your arms and cry
But I cant do that to myself, I wont

I cant devote my life to you
And only live off my dreams
But I cant lie to myself
Its not really how it seems

I hurts so bad to have you near
And know that I cant give in
I love the guy that I am with
And thats why I chose him

Please understand I cant go back
I cant crawl into your arms again
Not because I don't love you
But because I will love him more at the end

So I take a step forward in life
Trying my best not to look back
Thats why I don't answer to you
Thats why my kisses you lack

I will lead my heart to better things
I will fall out of love
Because it doesn't mean I have to accept
Every angel that falls from above

To you Preciosa... I hope you finally find the right one in your heart.

    Exactly..theres a "1st, 2nd, 3rd...."...but i think that im just gonna stop at the 2nd cuz i think this will last...i refuse to let go of him...i don't know why ...and i never tought that imma let go of the other one so fast...actually i never tought that imma let go of him period...well u r just one of those homegurls that will always be there 4 me and i know that we are going to be good friends.. and i am just goin to look for the best in the future cuz i don't c myself with anybody else for quite a couple of lonnnng years ...i don't know me and him made so many plans and we are really going thru it...he keeps his promises...unlike the past...lolz...well i'm just happi that my life is perfect for once...lolz...

    What am i doin right now???...hmmmm...crying...ay ay ay..this poem means so much and thank u for writing it...wow...am u r my poetry soul mate too...its like we share 1 heart...lolz...dang...each and every word means sooo much to me and thank u 4 always supportinne me and the decisions that i choose to take and i did pick who i choose to be with forever...miguel...he is the one 4 me and i think he is my soulmate...we may have arguments but its always me and him at the end of the day... mamita u have touched a part of my heart that nobody has before... u showed what true friendship is and also a shoulder to cry on...even thoe we are sooo far apart...u and flaka..its like u r the sistas that i never had....gracias otra vez...this means tha world to me and u know that...
