Aww hun, confusion state. I think i know what you mean..being in the position where you feel nothing you do will help those who are suffering and whom desperately need your guidance yet are too messed up to offer the same back or dont know how.
Im sorry if this poem relates in any way to me..but you are definately an angel sent from above..so to ur question, if u love them and the bond is true..stick by them, and eventually they'll stick by you. (wow that rhymed!!)
