You looked closely into my eyes
I knew something was wrong
You were acting different
You didn't seem so strong

Then finally you spoke
You said you loved me
But being with me
That, you could no longer cope

Said everything was happening too soon
That I was rushing through things
Love wasn't enough anymore
To handle all the obstacles it brings

As you spoke those dreadful words
Tears slowly stained my face
I could no longer handle it
My heart began to pace

You couldn't handle it either
You got up and went
Looked back one last time
At what you had left

The rain is now falling
As I sit here alone
I'm losing all my senses
All that Ive ever known
