Don't Fall / Who Knows What Knows

by Aidyn   Dec 11, 2005

To those I know...

I see you slip without a cause
Your eyelids lower, slowly pause
To gaze upon your world and I
Cannot begin to watch you die.

I speak my piece, you must not fall
Hope doth echo friendly walls
Recognize the smiles you see
Look not to where the darkness be

I see you weep without a tear,
Red arms pouring viscous fears
To fall unto the floor and I
Cannot begin to watch you die.

I plead with you, you must not fall
Do not answer pallid calls
The brightest winged* one first fell
Do not remake his fiery hell.

I see your impassioned grief
A thought that light leaves no relief.
I can't correct, but still I try
Though I cannot watch you die.

I cry in rage, you must not fall
From naught of thought comes naught at all.
The weavers three do plainly sew
The tapestry--who knows what knows.

*(The word "winged" is to be pronounced "wingehd")
