Look Deeper

Every time i see you
i look into your eyes
i see our past

i don't understand
how you can just go on
when it so hard for me

so then i look deeper
and i see your pain
i see the longing
the what-ifs
the "oh why didn't it last"

i still sit on my bed
and hold that stuffed animal
and wish you were mine

why didn't we last
i still don't know why
it was so perfect
not a single flaw

maybe thats why
cause perfect can never last

i just don't understand
why i can't have that one thing
we both knew it was right
from the moment we met

but like they always say
your first love never lasts

i still disagree with that statement that your first love never lasts because i love him and i know he is the one, please comment

    I dissagree too..ur 1st love will never be forgotten and thats just how it is...whenever u c him ur feelings come all bac to u and i get that feelin whenever i c my ex...my 1st love...to forget him is like impossible...but i love this poem...keep up the great job...5/5

    Ohh hunni. =( I hope that everything works out... Its true that you never really forget your first love. So I hope that you guys can get through this. Don't worry though hun, everything will even out in the end. Great poem though!
