Tear splattered memories

Tear splattered memories

I wake up in the morning with no one by my side,
I walk through the streets of Boston on my own,
My heart aches not having you by my side,
And as the rain begins so do my tears.

I look back to the times when you were mine,
Running through the park together,
Resting silently in my arms,
I'll never forget the times we shared.

The clouds burst open and the rain started pouring down,
Flattening my hair and soaking my clothes,
I just can't take it no more and I let out a sob,
How could you leave me so broken hearted?

I sit on the bed we used to share,
Flip through the photos of you and me,
And my tear drop upon the photos and run down,
I hate all the tear splattered memories you gave me.

Running through the streets,
Sitting on top of the hotel watching the sun set,
I can still feel your arms around me,
I can still remember you're lips touching mine.

I flip through the photos of us together,
Smiling ever so happily,
Who would have guessed that we wouldn't last,
I'm so fed up of all these tear splattered memories.
