Rest

Brightening white
behind shades of grey
been awake 24 hours
slept walk another day
and out beside me
shifting waves
of violet maze
green forests
just two feet tall
and barren spots
of drowned out dirt
broken out in front
by the highway
leading home
to a beautiful day
of sleep
