What Once Was

by rrrrrrr   Dec 12, 2005

The grains of emptiness seep through my fingers,
What used to be us now doesnt linger.

But now you say that all we can be is friends,
I want a love that limits to no ends.

I guess that since you dont think we belong,
Our love wasn't meant; It wasn't strong.

The stitches that attached my heart together,
Now fall apart, in hope for the better.

The darkness that just took over my heart,
The love that I felt must now depart.

Your words that made my heart rejoice,
Now is nothing but a toneless voice.

What once was love is now despair,
What once was warmth is now just air.
