Girl in Black

by EpithetPoet   Dec 13, 2005

Notice me crying?
Yeah the girl in the back
Notice me bleeding?
Yeah the girl in black

You judge before you even know
And who knows, you may be right
However you weigh it, I'm sad i know
Scared without any direct searing light

But dont you dare even think to judge me
Your past haunts you as fierce as my own
I just choose not to hide behind Abercrombie and Fitch
And consume wine coolers alone in my room

While the bleeding hearts see the scene disease
My wounds smoke tenderly under light
And while my skin never purposefully bleeds
I know in the end of it all, i was right

So turn your back, please go ahead
No one will chastise you a moment of it
As long as they see me as the girl in black
Everyone else will look perfect

Notice me crying?
Yeah the girl in the back
Notice me bleeding?
Yeah the girl in black

*my friend and i were just talking the other day about the attention seekers who ruin it for the people who actually have a disease.*

I can't stand attention seekers either they enrage me. I really liked your poem. Some of my friends were all black and are depressed and ppl always judge them. It would be great if you could read my poems and tell me what you think.
