Lost and Found

by Jeremy Edmondson   Dec 13, 2005

When the dark came I thought I would never see light again.
Little did I know that our journey was about to begin.
I awoke that day extra early to practice my lines.
I had everything played out in my mind.
I went the whole class shaking and scared.
But inside my heart kept saying “Go, do it, show her how much you have cared.”
When the bell ring my heart stopped and I did not remember a thing
I could not for the life of me remember my words.
I could not remember what I was going to say.
All I know is that when I looked in your eyes things became easier.
When you said yes, I went numb.
I could not breathe and I felt whole.
The dark long gone, I came to a clear.
The lost was found someone to hold close and dear.
All the bad memories were drowned and all worries washed away.
Your eyes so soft and welcoming and your appearance beyond words.
You are just so beautiful and I guess that’s what made it so easy to ask.
Now the mess is over, we can take our first steps, the journey begun
You can always shear the story
Of how someone lost you found.
