The Secret

A boy and a girl
The best of friends
Forever and always
Never will it end.

They spend every day together
When times get rough
They stay strong and be tough.

There is a secret she has been keeping for a while,
Something she never wanted to tell
Her life is fading slowly and becoming hell.

A month ago she was diagnosed with cancer, her life was slowly fading away every day.

She wanted to keep it a secret but her life was leaving to fast, not knowing how long it was going to last.

As she kept getting weaker, he begin to tell something was wrong, but not knowing how long this has been going on.

He begins to cry, as she sadly looks at him and grabs his hand, he lays down next to her and softly kisses her with no words said.

As he quietly whispers to her
"baby, what's wrong?" she looks at him and begins to cry along.
"I have been keeping a secret for so long, never wanted to say it, afraid I would say it wrong."

He starts to slowly rub her hands as he says in a crying voice "please, don't be afraid to tell me anything, we are best friends forever and have been for so long."

She softly lays her head on his stomach, not wanting to tell the secret, but it has to be said "I have cancer and everyday I get weaker.."
His face was soaked in tears, he jumps up with nothing but fear.
"Baby, please! There is no way you can do this to me! This should not be happening, we are best friends forever and it will never end."

She slowly loses every breath. He genly puts her head on his heart as it beats really fast, her eyes begin to close as she silently says with her last breath " We are best friends forever, and in my heart is where you will go, and that is where you will stay and forever you will glow."
