A First Christmas

by Ryan Fuertes   Dec 13, 2005

A First Christmas

Suddenly it's 12 o'clock in the midnight
And this, I just can't fight
The city's full of glittering light
Sounds that rhymes just so right

Yet my mind doesn't somehow mind
Feeling only things that are just unkind
This solitariness has just torn this place
In this time of the year that I just can't face

Smiles seem to be just everywhere
Yet why I just cannot bear it here
Bliss surrounds this season's fresh air
Yet the world seems not to be fair

Why in this middle of this cold night
I feel different, I know it's not right
This question that lingers in my mind
And answers still awaiting to be find
