What she wants

All she wants is to be with him,
simple, too nothing much,
to spend time with him,
for him to be well and healthy.

she's been looking for love all her life,
somehow always ending up in the middle of conflicts,
missing this warmth,
and never found it till he came along.

a bit over 6 months now,
almost half way till it all ends,
he'll be leaving soon,
leaving forever.

she doesn't want him to leave,
she knows he doesn't want to either,
but whats more important?
what makes them happy, or whats for the best?

she doesn't want to think,
all she wants is for him to be here,
to hug her,
for her to be in his arms,
to hear him say,
"It's OK honey, we'll make it through,
i promise, once all this is over"

she wants to live their dreams,
its not always perfect,
but thats not the point.
all she wants is a chance to make things work,
a chance to see if dreams can be reality, but they're both scared.

he doesn't want to take the risk,
what if things change?
she doesn't care,
she's naive,
she thinks that their love will help make things work somehow,
its all about perseverance.

but tonight she's breaking down,
once again he's hurting,
thinking of her and remembering how they can't be together forever,
so now she sits here on this cold winter night,
thinking of how things may be like,
scared of what may come soon,
crying, hurting just because he is hurting too.
