Behind My Smile

People say I've changed
And I find that quite untrue
For this is the real me
The one that has changed is you

I used to be a happy girl
With a smile on her face
But the truth is that my smile
Well happiness wasn't the case

Behind my eyes
The secrets lie
Behind my smile
I always cried

Happiness is a faded memory
I would give anything to have it back
I live my life filled with depression
Because happiness is something I lack

So maybe next time you say I've changed
Think about what I said
Because it's not easy for me to fake a smile
This is why you don't see me pretend
