My Thanksgiving Prayer

Thank you, God,
for family and friends.
Help me to return the love
that each one sends.

Thank you for
this food we'll eat.
Help us feed those lost weary souls
starving on the streets.

Thank you for
the roof over our head,
and that each night
we crawl into a warm bed.

Thank you for
all the joy that you bring.
Thank you, Lord,
for everything.

We may have hard times,
and our share of ups and downs,
but we have each other,
and that love is sound.

So thank you for what you've given us,
our life, our dreams, our health.
Use us to reach those less fortunate,
and help us to share our wealth.
Amen.
