Gone too far

Many times you have hurt me,
In ways you'll never know,
Those scars run deeply,
Forever will they stay,
Hit me and punched me,
Thrown against a wall,
Yell at me and put me down,
Insult all I do and call me names,
Crush my spirit and hold me back,
But never before have you done this,
Now you've gone too far,
This time you had a weapon,
You've never had before,
I have never seen you like that,
With such a glint in your eye,
I could see it in your face,
You wanted me to die,
You lunged at me,
Made me bleed,
Hurt me in more ways then one,
Made me fear your name,
Whatever I once felt for you has gone,
Has left my being,
And in its place a void is left,
Now filling with hate and pain,
I will never forget what happened that night,
How you made me fear for life,
The emptiness in your stare,
The pure hatred on your face,
And the weapon in your hand,
The knife which would drive us apart,
Now as I sit here,
I dread to hear your voice,
I fear the sound of your car,
Scared of what might be,
Terrified of what you may do,
The hitting and names,
With I can cope,
But not this new found anger,
This fury with which you attack,
The lack of feeling in your eyes,
The hatred upon your face,
I fear you now father,
Fear what you have become,
Fear what you may do,
Any love I once felt,
Has turned to fear and hate,
Any pride,
To shame,
Excitement to dread,
Hope to despair,
What you are,
What you have become,
Is something I will forever fear
