The crimson river

by herewithme   Dec 13, 2005

As she reaches out for the knife
her hands violently shake
nobody can stop her
it's her life that she must take

"will anybody care if i let myself go?"
the answer to that, she'll never know
as she is guiding the silver blade
all her dreams begin to fade.

being swallowed into the darkness that is death
she draws herself up for her final breath
dying fast in a room so cold
the act she performed was selfish but bold.

the note she left beside her bed
near the little pool of red,
was spoilt by the crimson river
the note of love, the note of good-bye
will never be delivered
