Perfect

by sami   Dec 13, 2005

She walks down the street
A smile pasted on her face
Her hair and makeup done
And a skirt covered in lace

She passes a store
And looks at the display
She fixes her hair in the window
And continues on her way

When she finally gets home
No one is there
The halls echo when she screams
The house is so big and bare

Tears begin to pour
As she falls to her knees
She wishes her folks were home
It seems she's always trying to please

But no matter what
She's not enough
For once she doesn't want
To try being tough

She gets back up
And wipes off her face
She pastes on her smile
And brushes off her lace

Life shall go on
And nothing will change
Her life must look perfect
Nothing is strange
