I Wish

by Cantchangeme   Dec 13, 2005

I wish you were my drug
Rushing into my vein
I wish you were my heart
Controlling my brain

I wish this was my death
So that I could start
I wish you were my mind
Controlling my heart

I wish you were my silver
Contaminating my gold
I wish you were my warmth
Leaving me cold

I wish you were my smile
Shining out bright
I wish you were my vision
Obscuring my sight

I wish you were my scars
So you'll never leave
I wish you were my lungs
making sure I breathe

I wish you were my suicide
Taking my life
I wish that I was the blood
Staining your knife

I wish that you were real
Not just drawing lines
I wish that you were real
I wish you were mine

This poem is just wonderfull, I usally have a very low image of poem with the same repeating line, but this poem is beyond appropriate, I love your use of words, my favorite line was
[I wish you were my suicide
    Taking my life
I wish that I was the blood
    Staining your knife]

Leep writting becasue these poems are wonderfull.
