Pearls of red and scarlet ribbons

by brown eyes and a melancholy smile   Dec 14, 2005

Pearls of red and scarlet ribbons

Streaming ribbons of scarlet flow from my heart,
While pearls of red fall from my soul,
Web spun from my many mistakes,
Catch my pain and fuel my hate.

Shining silver breach scarred skin, scarlet ribbons flow,
Glistening pearls of blood red, weep from lifeless eyes,
Web I spun from neglected demand,
Screaming secretly for death's chilled hand.

Scarlet ribbons merely bide my time,
Days keep moving, they leave me behind,
Craving the end to appear from the haze,
Fixed upon death's merciful gaze.

Red pearls form in my heart,
As my demons reign and tear me apart,
Drowning again, lost beneath the depths,
Entwined scarlet ribbons flow from my neck.

Pearls of red and scarlet ribbons, woven deadly strife,
Perilous beauty in cruel disguise,
Artfully twisted in misery's web,
Promote my pain, and welcome death.
