Why are we together?
It's a thing i have to ask...
Not one thing comes to mind...
So much so, it's become a task...

A task to keep it together
A task to keep you happy
Cause God knows i love you
But we weren't meant to be

Every time i see you now
Your eyes seem dull and grey
And while i hug you like i care
It'll never feel the same way

So maybe it's time to end it
But will our friendship die as well?
You say we'd never let it die
But it seems it's all going to Hell

I never want to hurt you
To do that, be worse than my past
But it needs to end at some point...
I think we both knew it wouldn't last
