Why do we want what we can never have?
and have what we can never want?

Why do we touch what we can't feel,
and feel what we can't touch?

Why do we embrace fear,
Yet fear to embrace?

Why do we forget to remember,
and remember to forget?

Why do we hurt to love,
and love to hurt?

Why do the young want to be old,
and the old want to be young?

Why is it love is never enough?
And why is there never enough love?

Why do good times fade so quickly,
and misery seems to linger?

Why do we wonder why?
