Hope

by debbie   Dec 14, 2005

This morning I woke with a memory,
of a beautiful little girl.
And wonder how she is doing,
living the other side of the world?

Does she ever think about me?
like me remember a face.
Of a time when we were together,
in a warm and sunny place.

I hope that she doesn't forget me,
that she will coming searching one day.
for a mother who didn't desert her,
who never wanted to go away.

My only consolation,
is that he is treating her good.
That he's giving enough love for both of us,
Like any parent would.

That he doesn't make up any stories,
tell her that I didn't want her at all!
That I just got up and left her,
without a single care in this world.

Cause there isn't a day I wonder,
not a day when my heart doesn't cry.
I miss you my beautiful daughter,
I'll love you till the day I die.
