That ship in the night.

by debbie   Dec 14, 2005

I see him walking down the street,
my heart stops beating,
our eyes meet.
A passion inside starts to flare,
two souls unite with a blink and a stare.

We stop and chat,
It's been a long time,
since our paths have crossed,
our lives entwined.

Much has happened,
lives have changed.
The dreams we hoped for,
that have been re-arranged.

Hurts for me, pain with you,
Family troubles that have made us blue.
Opportunities we know,
that's passed us by.
But teenage memories,
help us smile.

You've made me wonder
what I now want from life?
Cause lately everything
feels like a constant fight.

Deciding this, choosing that,
never knowing how?
or where to start.
The times we trust,
to then get hurt.
The love, the Hate!
Which one comes first?
