Angry Young Men

by david kessel   Dec 25, 2003

Our cities are full
Of angry young men,
Acting tough,
Talking bull,
Beyond their ken,

Strutting stuff,
Giving sass,
Whistling at chicks,
Looking rough,
Kicking as*,
Just for the kicks.

Dipping snuff,
Gulping booze
And selling grass,
Giving verbal abuse,
Kicking as*.

Shooting up,
Filling pipes
With crack.
Making swipes,
Screaming "Cops!",
Coming back.

Don't you be like these thugs,
My son.
Don't you mess with no drugs,
For fun.

When you see those goons,
Walk on by,
This tough life is no boon,
For you, guy.

Study hard, stay on track
Don't derail.
Get a job, save some jack.
Avoid jail.

They may look very tough,
But in fact,
Underneath all this slough
They are cracked.

What good future awaits
An angry young punk
Who tied up his fate
With junk?
