Loves Planting

by Mr O   Dec 14, 2005

Bright were the days
When we were new
Loves seed was sown
And a sapling grew
So strong

Its roots took hold
To anchor fast
Against the winds
That blow right past
So strong

As spring soon turned
To summers heat
A tree emerged
Scent of flowers sweet
So strong

At summer end
Our tree let go
Its petals to
The hard ground below
So wrong

Next were the leaves
Sad surrender
To bitter cold
Farewell our splendor
So wrong

Then winter came
Loves tree was lost
We failed to shelter
It from the frost
So wrong

Perhaps our spring
Will come once more
Loves withered tree
Might once again soar
Till then...So long
