Once upon a time
A girl met a boy
Thinking things would work out
Thinking he loved her too.

The things she felt
Oh the heavenly ways he made her feel
Lifting her so high
Making her head reel

Everything was going so well
Until one day all was lost
And her heart was sacrificed
At such a high cost

The hurtful things he said
The pain & suffering it should have caused
But instead she just went numb,
And everything inside of her simply paused

Frustration coming from deep within
So confused she became
She went on not knowing what to feel
And she knew she would never be the same

The light now gone from her once sparkling eyes
She's fallen from grace
Not knowing what to feel
So far behind in Love's race.
