Lifeless Life

by Landon Carter   Dec 15, 2005

My life is fun no more, but full of misery.
The pain I suffer goes straight to my soul.

It hits me so hard... it hits each time I breathe
Everything changes, familiar faces are like strangers'.

My time is running fast, like life is ending soon.
I find myself very alone at the desolate edge of the world...

My heart, shattered like glass... cannot become unbroken.
Pieces scattered... crying I run to collect them.

There is only one ear that listens to my voice
And I am alone, just talking to myself.

How terrible. I have no one of my own... not anymore...
How can anyone understand my broken heart?
Who can I trust enough to share?

My hopes and dreams and intentions have brought just ASHES
My adored dead, I failed in every test...
This life is a mistake, not worth the time;
This is but dying with death being late.

Hey. Thanks so much for commenting on my poem, meant alot.

Anyways, you have a great poem here, thats for sure. The only thing is, that its a bit hard to read. As in, your format could use a bit of work. Instead of having it in one big block of text, try spacing it out and putting in some punctuations. Try browsing online on google for styles of poems and such. Read over them and maybe it could help you with future poems.

This poem has a lot of potential and I like how you described some of your lines. Very interesting.

    Good Job. Keep it up.
