The Destiny

by Mr O   Dec 15, 2005

Two young hearts set sail
On a lovers sea
Aboard the ship
Christened Destiny

With great care they steered
Her around the rocks
Toward the buoys
And past the docks

Their sexton set
For faraway lands
Where together they'll walk
On warm white sands

But two passengers
They soon would learn
Had boarded Destiny's
Starboard Stern

Carried by
An evil tide
Came the stowaways
Jealousy and Pride

Quietly these pirates worked
To chip away a plank
A small hole is all it took
Their Destiny has sank

No tidal wave
Nor fierce strong wind
Brought down their craft
Now Destiny's End

So listen well
As Destiny speaks
And check your ship
For tiny leaks
