Born with everything. Die with nothing

by InvisibleManiac   Dec 15, 2005

I was born with everything I could wish for
Chances and opportunities like open doors
Intelligence, passion and determination
I was leaving failure at the station

Everything started out so well
I was gonna make it big, everyone could tell
Good grades at school, homework never late
Success, just the other side of the gate

But then it all went so wrong
One second it was there and the next it was gone
My family crumbled, a boy forced to be a man
From that moment on, nothing went to plan

For so long I tried to regain what I had
Never realized things had got this bad
I’m slipping down deeper into this hole
Like a black hole sucking down my soul

Now at the bottom there’s nowhere left to fall
So, on my knees I dig and crawl
The deeper I dig the more I crave
To lay in the hole and sleep in my grave

I was born with everything I could wish for
I die with nothing, forgotten forevermore
