Time to choose (part 2)

by Tim Bradshaw   Dec 16, 2005

I can't believe you could do this to me,
After all that we have been through,
I don't understand your reasoning,
"You wanted something new"

How could you end what we had?
You made it seem so effortless,
I asked you to make a choice,
Why were you so selfish?

To clue you in on how I've been,
My pillows are soaking wet,
I've cried for weeks now that you're gone,
And regretting that we met.

No need for sorrow although I was hurt,
I no longer need you to go on,
I hate the fact that I loved you,
And I love the fact you're gone.

The crazy thing about all this,
Is that I never really needed you,
I wouldn't want to love someone,
Who couldn't even be true.

I can now say proudly you messed up,
You lost the best thing you had,
I'm glad you're out of my life,
Because no longer am I sad.
