Mother never There:

by cowgurlsweetie   Dec 16, 2005

One day I'll be a star,
Who I am,
Not who you are.

I'll be myself,
Not who you want me to be,
No one else.

I've supported me,
Not you,
You never cheered, listened to me sing.

My dreams won't fly away,
They'll be with me,
Unlike you, they'll stay.

A mother,
Never there,
You never cared.

So why even bother,
To try to listen,
Why I'm the one glistening.

Just walk away,
Like you've always done,
Leave me again, I'm the only one.

Your own daughter,
Left alone,
Without a home.

Just to let you see,
Yes ma, I made to the top,
That's me.
