A lonesome Dove

by Lola Granny   Dec 16, 2005

As I sit around a campfire tonight I hear the beating drums of the native plights For his name is One Wolf as we cry for him tonight His journey is near and shall take another flight To recall his past will be everyone's delight He has a brave sister and her name is soldiers wife Left to carry on to recall her brother's life Of how a lonesome dove has battled his fight So when you see a sparkle in the stars tonight Remember this young warrior as it sizzles out of sight For not to bare this painful flight But to be brave as he once was in his world that was bright Speaking from a native tongue I know has great insights About a brave man that I wished I could of kissed goodnight So as you take your journey home One Wolf to your new flight I pray that your spirit soars like a dove of white And to reach that new milestone purely out of this worlds sight With all the honors I wish you peace and comfort to reach those new heights
