Liquid Healer

by Bobbi   Dec 16, 2005

Now that you've left me
I've found a way to feel better
I've numbed myself to the pain
Of seeing you with her
The answer's in the bottle
Of my dear friend Jack
Whenever I start missing you
I sit and tip him back
Shot after shot
My thoughts focus on you
Friends keep telling me
This I shouldn't do
But they don't understand
How hard it is to cope
At least when I get wasted
I start to get some hope
Maybe we'll get back together
Maybe I can fly
Maybe you don't hate me
Maybe I shouldn't cry
I'll never forget your words
Or how they took you from me
"I hate you you stupid b i t c h
Talk is cheap and your lies are free"
But my lie wasn't told to you
It was told to that dumb h o
I cried out "Wait listen to me
Please stop oh god don't go"
My life is now ruined
But the bottle erases my pain
So getting drunk out of my mind
Helps me not lose my brain

This is an excellent poem, but I hope its not true about you getting wasted . I've been down that road over a thousand times and believe me when I say its not good . The bottom of a bottle is not the answer . You should put all that wasted energy and time into you're poetry . It will help you relieve stress, release anger, and it won't leave you with a hang-over the next day . So you just keep writting and I'll keep reading . I'm gonna put you in my favorites so I can keep an eye on you .

    Stay Sober, you're friend
