She Waits

by rawrrr♥   Dec 17, 2005

In solitary darkness
Her soul waits
With a single candle burning
To light her way
She waits
As the snow covers the ground
With an inspiring glow
Her heart waits
As tears fill her eyes
‘Though she is unsure why
She waits
For those unable to comprehend
Her process of thoughts and feelings
She waits
During the nights
In which she finds she has no strength
And no faith that she will ever heal
She waits
When He says he no longer cares
Her heart breaks
And her world slowly deteriorates
But even still
She waits
She watches as the petals of a rose
Whose beauty was once miraculous
Begin to wither just like her soul
And she waits
