I Seen You There

by Karla Gordon   Dec 17, 2005

Today I thought I seen you
Right before my eyes
My heart skipped a beat
Wishing it was true.

So I pretended it was you
Close enough to touch
The one I always dream of
Right there in my sight.

The smile on my face
All the joy inside my heart
Dreaming it was the two of us
Standing right there side by side.

How I needed you to be there
Holding my hand inside of yours
Finally touching at my soul
Shielding me from the pain.

The dream ended way to soon
Realizing my mind made you appear
Playing tricks on my sad heart
Taking us right back to the start.

Awww, this poem was so sad but so sweet. Truly heartfelt, dreaming about somebody you don't hae is tough. I think you just need a hug. :-)
