She wasn't suppose to fall in love
she knew there'd be consequences

she wanted to stay an angel
god gave her the gift of healing
she heals other's pain
but then she made a mistake
she fell in love with a boy
she clipped her wings
just for him
but he broke her heart
she couldn't heal her own pain
she cries all night
wanting to be with him
she needed him to wipe away tears
she needed to be in his arms
every night she would pray
she would pray for his return
but god denied her wish
