Inside

Her once bright eyes are now so dull,
her hands once warm became so cold,
the lies tore her from inside out,
her face reflects everlasting doubt.

She wants so bad a friend to lean on,
but for so long they've all been gone,
they tried and tried but she pushed away,
so this far-away distance is where they choose to stay.

That one guy she thought was real,
the one that taught her how to feel,
he lied to her and broke her heart,
and deep inside she's falling apart.

But soon her inner storm will end,
and she'll be back to her old self again,
her dull eyes will once again be bright,
and then she'll finally see the light.

Her heart will heal and she'll see,
how much of a jerk some guys can be,
she'll move on and love again,
but won't let herself fall ever again.
