Snake's Fury (Fire)

by Michael   Dec 18, 2005

Night covered the sky
like a blanket over a child.
Making fire
something moved from beyond
and towards me
there laid a snake.

Snake
so small
yet silent as a whisper
and deadly as greed.
There
within it's black marbled eyes
anger grew strong and fast
as a fire.

Yes
I could feel it.
I felt that my was fire
and left my body only hallow.

From there
I was warmth.
I would be behind you
hugging you
to keep you safe.
Yet my love is limited
for death might be certain.

Yet my anger seems endless
forced to expand
dare not to exceed
for my power
forever lost.

My face
now within
the dancing flames
from the Sun
not like home
but more like a prison.
Love
passionate
romance.
The fire cracks these words
all a symbol
on a might inferno.

I bring light to others
for eyes are blinded
yet no closed.

I dim
light vanishes
warmth diminishes
snake slithers with a hiss
as a warning.

Fury
love
sight
a fire element's definition
but as well as human.

Fire is neutral
and that is what I am now
thanks to a snake's fury.
