Teddy Bear

by Holly Renae   Dec 18, 2005

Life is a teddy bear's soft fur.
I hold him close with all my might.
He sits on my bed as though he was ready to come alive.
Suddenly he rolls off of my bed like a ball.

He starts to run around my room in circles.
As though he was chasing something not able to catch.
Galloping like a horse chasing a rabbit across the field.

The door opens with a swift push.
It's my mom, oh no, don't let her see this.
He jumps on my bed as quick as a whistle as though nothing was wrong.
Staying still not making a peep,
trying to act like everything was suddenly back to normal.
