It's her again

by BrokenMemoriex   Dec 18, 2005

It's her again isn't it?
Another bottomless pit
I would have known
That it was all blown

On 22nd July, that fateful night
I witnessed a most heartbreaking sight
You had your arm around her
It wasn't me, t'was another girl

You did this all in front of me
Knowing that I would see
Not bothering if I'd care
Wasn't it unfair?

Memories flood my mind
Cruel and unkind
Of when you first put your arm around me
Thoughts just don't seem to flee

I could do nothing but stare
Break down in despair
Cause I felt for you so deep
I cried myself to sleep

5th August, the next teary night
Everything wasn't going right
You, the girl and some friends
This isn't where the story ends

You all had supper at the stall
But I knew you wanted more
You and her left the group first
You were dying of thirst

Both you went home at an ungodly hour
I lay awake, my heart sour
My soul turned to frost
I guess all was lost

15th December, the final night
I couldn't forget you, though I thought I might
You wanted to go cycling
Don't tell me you weren't looking for a fling?

You and your friends
Four of them
Went ahead and gone
She followed you alone

One of your guy friends returned
I felt my cheeks burn
Asked for your whereabouts
"Behind," he said without a doubt

I followed him back
Got a nerve-rack
Her knees were bleeding
On your back she was sitting

She'd won, I thought
Not a chance I'd got
Perched on your back
Smiles on her face, no lack

She's hurt and in pain
But she's got something gained
You're hers
What could be worse?

It's her again isn't it?
Another bottomless pit
I would have known
That it was all blown...
