I read this first book
and it does nothing for me.
It's of this boy and this girl
and them living so happily.
But then I read this other book.
And it means so much to me.
It's about the actions and words of god.
And all the things he created for all to see.
This book keeps me calm and focused.
While the other makes me bored.
The bible gives me hope and security.
Instead of looking back, it helps me to look forward.
The bible gives me all I need.
It restores all that I believe in.
I'm reminded that god will always love me,
even though I'm not the same person I had been.
